Callaway X Hot Wedge is the standard in distance. With the deep undercut cavity the ball flight is higher and longer than ever. The speed frame face maximizes ball speeds across the entire face for a more consistent distance.

Got these at a good price, just over $300 for 8 unused irons. Went to the range all enthusiastic and hit a 34 ball bucket. Tried the 4 iron and pitching wedge. 4 went far but no feel and little controllability. Shot most of the bucket with the wedge and was amazed at how quickly the cheap looking finish deteriorated. I've had and liked Diablo Edge irons before and they were much higher quality. Overall the XHot irons were a big disappointment for me.

Great shaft that lets you feel the ball from the club head up. Good grooves that allow for control on difficult shots. Overall I am satisfied.

Comments about Callaway X Hot Wedge Graphite Shaft:

I wanted to make sure I adjusted to these clubs before writing a review. Moved from X-14 Steelhead to X Hot and WOW! Amazed at seeing the difference in performance. Was hitting my irons 10-15 yards further than ever then I realized the lofts were messing with me. My old 7 iron is my new 8 iron so of course I was hitting them farther. Gave myself more time to get adjusted to them and now I have increased distance from what I was originally hitting (even with the different lofts). I really needed a few months to get used to them. Fast forward to my last outing being my best golf round ever! The irons played a huge part of that. My only warning is to watch the distance between the PW and whatever gap/sand wedge you play.

      X Hot Not for Me

      By Gfkr2

Comments about Callaway X Hot Wedge Graphite Shaft:

I've had the X-Hot irons with graphite stiff shafts several years and played about 100 rounds with them. I don't care for these clubs and the 3/4 hybrids are painfully difficult to hit. I hit these irons typically to the left far too often and am not really sure if it's the clubs, shafts or golfer that is mainly to blame.

I had been using another brand's hybrid irons and when getting with my course pro, he suggested I go with this exact club. Boy, was he right!!! I've never been happier with a set of irons in all of my life. So glad I purchased these!

I had identical heads but with steel switched to graphite and get 15-20 yards more in distance. I will have to readjust which iron I select to use.

Comments about Callaway X Hot Wedge Graphite Shaft:

Played Taylor made for 30 years, and was playing well, average score was 80-84. On my 54th birthday I decided to treat myself to a new set of Irons, so I demoed a few sets, and couldn't believe the feel of the x-hot irons. I bought a set right off the rack ( believe it or not they fit me perfectly ) and I'm in love with golf again, I haven't gained much in distance, but accuracy is unbelievable. My new scores are 74 to 78 every round, distance isn't the game changer for me that it seems to be for a lot of people, I want the accuracy when I shoot for the pin and these irons deliver. The x-hot irons are rock solid, and I can spin them at will, I've heard many folks who say they are game improvement irons made for mid to high handicap golfers, and low handicap folks prefer forged irons, well I'll stick with these, call them what you will, I call them perfect. I just bought another set, so when these are at the end of there life, I have a fresh set waiting.

I went from X12 to Razor X but was disappointed. I tried Mizuno because they were supposed to have buttery feel. The Hot X are buttery but light and solid . I can't imagine finding anything better for me.

I really do like these clubs. I am hitting them about 10 yds. further now. The 3 and 4 hybrid are hard to hit. I hook them pretty badly. I really have to open them up. When i do, they are pretty dang good.
