Golf Club Fittings For Every Club in Your Bag

Why Get a Golf Club Fitting at PGA TOUR Superstore?

Getting fit for golf clubs is one of the most impactful changes a golfer can make to their game. At PGA TOUR Superstore, our certified golf club fitters go beyond recommending off-the-shelf equipment: they use objective launch monitor data to find the specific head, shaft, lie angle, and length combination that performs best for your individual swing.

What sets a PGA TOUR Superstore fitting apart:

  • Certified fitters trained to assess swing mechanics and ball flight data
  • Trackman launch monitor technology measuring ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, smash factor, and carry distance in real time
  • Access to 65,000+ club combinations across every major brand, rather than just what is on the shelf.
  • Objective recommendations backed by data, not sales pressure. If your current clubs win, we will tell you.
  • Fit & Go availability at select locations — get fitted and walk out with your new clubs the same day for qualifying configurations.

How To Prepare For Your Golf Club Fitting

Treat your fitting like a range session — you'll hit 40–100 balls. Rest the night before, come hydrated, and warm up beforehand to get the most out of your session.

  • Wear: Golf shoes or flat sneakers and comfortable athletic attire.
  • Bring: Your current clubs. Your fitter needs them to establish a performance baseline — and will tell you honestly if they still outperform the alternatives.
  • Bring: A golf glove for proper grip throughout the session.

What Happens During a STUDIO Fitting?

Your certified fitter begins by establishing a baseline using your current clubs — capturing your existing ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, and shot dispersion on TrackMan. From there, you work through a structured matrix of head and shaft combinations, with your fitter tracking every metric in real time to identify what objectively improves your performance.

Every recommendation is backed by data. If a new club doesn't beat your current setup's numbers, a good fitter will tell you to keep your money.

What Do You Walk Away With?

After your fitting, you will leave with:

  • Your complete custom club specifications, including shaft flex, shaft weight, club length, lie angle, and grip size
  • Objective Trackman data showing which head and shaft combination performs best for your swing
  • A purchase recommendation, or honest confirmation that your current equipment is still the best fit
  • For qualifying Fit & Go sessions at participating locations, select configurations can be built on-site and taken home the same day

What Is the Difference Between a STUDIO Fitting and a Free Fitting?

PGA TOUR Superstore offers multiple fitting experiences designed for different golfer needs.

Fit & Go and Express Bay Fittings are free, in-store fitting options with no appointment required. It is a great starting point for golfers who want a quick recommendation and, at participating locations, the ability to walk out with a fitted club the same day.

A STUDIO™ Fitting is a more in-depth, appointment-based experience with a certified PGA TOUR Superstore fitter. During the session, your fitter uses Trackman technology and a large matrix of club head and shaft combinations to identify which setup improves your swing metrics. Instead of relying only on feel or what is available off the rack, the recommendation is backed by launch monitor data.

Golf Club Fitting FAQ

What is golf club fitting?

Golf club fitting is the process of analyzing your swing mechanics and ball flight data to identify the club specifications, including shaft flex, weight, length, lie angle, and head design, that perform best for your individual game. At PGA TOUR Superstore, fittings are conducted by certified fitters using Trackman launch monitor technology.

How much does a golf club fitting cost at PGA TOUR Superstore?

Fitting prices vary by session type and location. Single-category STUDIO™ fittings, including driver, iron, putter, or wedge fittings, typically start at $99.99 for a 75-minute session. Full bag fittings start at $299.99 for a 3-hour session.

Is golf club fitting worth it?

Yes, for most golfers. Mid-to-high handicappers often benefit the most because the right shaft flex, lie angle, and head combination can add distance, reduce dispersion, and minimize common shot faults. Our fitters will tell you honestly if your current clubs are still the right fit for your swing.

Do I need to be a good golfer to get fitted?

No. Golfers of all skill levels can benefit from a fitting. The only exception is absolute beginners whose swing mechanics may change significantly in the first few months. In that case, taking a few golf lessons first can make a fitting more productive.

What is the difference between a Studio Fitting and a free fitting?

A standard fitting is a shorter walk-in or appointment session using stock club configurations. A STUDIO™ Fitting is a private, appointment-only session in an enclosed bay with a certified specialist, access to premium aftermarket shafts and interchangeable heads, and objective trackman data. It is not just an assessment based on what is currently on the shelf.

What technology does PGA TOUR Superstore use for fittings?

PGA TOUR Superstore STUDIO™ bays use Trackman launch monitors to measure ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, smash factor, and carry distance. Your fitter uses this real-time data to objectively identify which club setup improves your numbers.

Can I walk out with my clubs the same day?

Through our Fit & Go program, select head and shaft combinations are stocked on-site at participating locations. If your specs match available inventory, you can be fitted and leave with your new clubs the same day. Custom manufacturer builds typically take a few weeks.

Can I use my fitting specs to buy used clubs?

Yes. Many golfers pay the standalone fitting fee to get their custom spec sheet, including shaft flex, weight, length, lie angle, and grip size, and then use that data to shop for golf clubs or compare options in the used market. PGA TOUR Superstore also offers golf club trade-ins for golfers looking to apply the value of their current clubs toward an upgrade.

What should I bring to my golf club fitting?

Bring your current clubs, wear golf shoes or flat sneakers, and bring a golf glove. Your fitter needs your current clubs to establish a performance baseline before testing alternatives. You can also review our golf club fitting guide before your appointment so you know what to expect.

Can I get my current clubs re-fitted if my game has changed?

Yes. A re-fitting is a great option for golfers whose swing speed, tempo, or skill level has changed significantly since their original fitting. Your current specs may no longer be optimal, and a PGA TOUR Superstore fitter can help determine whether small adjustments or new clubs are the better next step.
