Golf Club Fitting Guide

It’s All in the Fits: Club Fitting

Did you know that a golf club fitting is particularly effective with helping beginners improve their game and prevent injury? Our Fitters help you find clubs that fit your body type and skill level to help you have more consistency with your game. They do this by testing. They test, test and test some more to see what you like.

We are in this together

Our Fitters goal during your fitting is for you to have fun and inspire confidence with your game. Speaking of game, remember golf is a game. As you’re getting started, you don’t want to be at the mercy of your equipment – clubs too heavy, too light? Too long, too short? – and risk potential injury. We want to fit you for what’s best for you. Because at PGA TOUR Superstore, we are in the relationship business.

What to expect during your fitting

If you have clubs, bring them with you. When you begin, you’ll take a few warm-up swings and our team will ask you a few questions for example, how often you play, if you have any injuries, what are your goals and perhaps your activity level. That helps our Fitters assess where you are with your game.

They will also look at the length and weight of your club shaft and the lie angel – which just means how the club lays on the ground. No two swings are the same and our Fitters fit to how you swing already. If you go through a fitting and hear golf terms you don’t understand or data points that do not make any sense, ask your Fitter to further explain. Remember, our Fitters are part-time cheerleaders for your game. When you the equipment that is right for you, it makes golf easier. It just does.
