What is Girls Golf?
Not your typical junior golf program!
Founded 25 years ago by a woman who dreamed of sharing her love for the game of golf with her two daughters, Girls Golf has grown into a community of more than 60,000 girls across the globe who are learning and loving the game! Run in partnership between the LPGA Foundation and the United States Golf Association (the governing body in golf), LPGA*USGA Girls Golf (Girls Golf) is a non-profit 501-c3 junior golf program with sites in more than 380 communities across the country.
Girls Golf sites provide girls with quality golf instruction led by LPGA and PGA teaching professionals or certified coaches from The First Tee. Not only are they experts in taking girls from beginner to advanced golfers, but they also specialize in creating experiences that show girls just how much fun golf really is!
What could be better than that? Well, Girls Golf members learn more than just the game of golf. They help empower them with confidence and teach them valuable life skills. From Leadership skills to inspiring healthy living, Girls Golf uses the Five E's of Girls Golf to Empower, Enrich, Engage, Exercise, and Energize girls through the game of golf.
We ENRICH girls lives by expanding their minds and horizons
We ENGAGE girls with positive female role models and mentors
We ENERGIZE girls with passion for the game of golf
We EXERCISE girls' minds and bodies helping them unlock their full potential
LPGA*USGA Girls Golf (Girls Golf) is the only national junior golf program that specializes in providing girl-friendly environments for juniors to learn the game of golf. Girls Golf makes the game of golf fun, and teaches more than just stance and swing; it teaches girls valuable life skills like confidence and perseverance.
Each participating Girls Golf site helps prepare girls ages 6 - 17 for a lifetime of enjoyment of the game while also inspiring them to feel confident, build positive self-esteem and live active and healthy lives through The Five E's of Girls Golf.
