On October 13, 2019, Coco Gauff’s first WTA title came at just 15 years old when she defeated 2017 French Open Champion Jelena Ostapenko 6-3, 1-6, 6-2 to win the 2019 Linz Open in Austria. Although Gauff had not won yet in her early career, she did not shy away from the moment and proved that she was right where she belonged as she upset the #1 seed Kiki Bertens and former Top-10 player Andrea Petkovic while on her way to the final.
