In January 2022, Viktor Hovland was sure to bring his A-game to the Slync.io Dubai Desert Classic. Hovland was able to finish the tournament 12 under par to go to a playoff against Richard Bland for the title. Hovland’s birdie in the playoff ultimately lifted him to win the tournament. After shooting a 73 in the third round, Hovland knew he had a slim chance at coming out as the champion. However, he stuck to his game and had a wonderful final day of the tournament. His last three holes resulted in a birdie, eagle, and birdie. Hovland’s remarkable performance lifted him to the top as he was able to hold the trophy as champion.
